今天，Rein Willems，总裁ShellNederland B.V.和EO/Glycols副总裁Bill Rothwell正式在Moerdijk的Shell Nederland Chemie B.V.的MEOD工厂中正式启动了第三乙烷氧化乙烷（EO）反应堆。

Most of the new construction work was realized while the plant was operating normally, while modifications were made during the annual catalyst replacement and maintenance shutdown. With preparation time the project spanned three years.
The project was completed on time and on budget. The plant underwent a successful startup and has since reached design throughput.
