A judging panel made up of some of the most successful entrepreneurs in Europe has namedExovaamong a shortlist to win one of Scotland's most prestigious business awards.
Exovawill be competing against seven other Scottish-based firms to win the Business Innovation of the Year category at the Scottish Business Awards 2012.
Our nomination is centred on the application of Microwave Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) within the UK Utilities sector. Microwave NDT offers a unique selling point for Exova, which holds the exclusive licence for the UK and EU. The business has become the first company to develop and licence the associated testing processes and methodologies to deliver this service.
This innovation is already receiving worldwide recognition, with project manager, Ken Murphy, delivering keynote speeches and presentations at industry conferences & seminars and we are way ahead of achieving our original financial forecasts for the service.
The winner will be announced at an event ceremony held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on February 23, 2012, when the chair of the judging panel, Duncan Bannatyne OBE, one of Britain's most famous entrepreneurs, will reveal the winning business.
